Adding Tags in WordPress

Tags are small pieces of information attached to the main content or article for identification purposes. It tells the visitor what the article is actually about. If tags are mentioned correctly, then it helps to find the content very easily.

Following are the steps to add tags in WordPress.

Step (1) – Click on Article → Tags in WordPress.

Step (2) – Display the Tags page.

Below are the details about the fields of a tag.

• Name – Enter a name for the tag.

• Snake – Choose a word to describe your post. It is specified in the tag’s URL.

• Description – Adds a brief description of the tag. It will appear when you hover over the tag.

After filling in all the information about the tag, click the Add New Tag button.

Step (3) – The newly created tag will be displayed on the right side of the page as shown below.
