WordPress Delete Category

In this chapter, we will learn how to delete categories in WordPress.

Following are the simple steps to delete categories in WordPress.

Step (1) – Click Articles → Categories in WordPress.

Step (2) − You can delete Category1 (Category1 was created in the chapter WordPress – Add Category). When you hover over the Category, several options will appear below the category name. Click the Delete button as shown below.

When you click Delete, a prompt will pop up asking you to confirm the deletion of the specific category, as shown below.

You can click the Confirm button to permanently delete the category.
